Sicker then sick

So this week has been spent being sicker then sick. I can't hardly breath, or see due to teary eyes and pressure in my head. I have been working as much as I can on this weeks outfit. I have most of the skirt put together and the vest will be cut Saturday morning. Sorry that I suck this week guys, I really wanted to push through my pain and make this happen but right now I look like I have been crying all night and feel like I have something trying to kill from the inside out. I will see you guys when I get a touch better and a little more energy.

Week 2!

So here we are week two of my great new year! As promised I am going to do a quick run down of what I want to make for next week. On this up coming weekend I have a wine and cheese party to go to. I know for this party I want to be a stand out figure at this party. January is the month of plaid it seem for me. I got 2 new coffee cups that are a green and black plaid, I can't get plaid out of my head! I seem to be drawn to every kind of plaid there is. Which means that all the L.A.M.B. clothing I have being lusting after but can't afford is really working on my head. I have around 5 yards of black, blue and gray plaid in my stash. It should look really nice as a matchy vest and a full skirt. I know what vest pattern I want to use but not even close to sure as to what kind of skirt I want. I am pretty sure that not a circle skirt but not a pencil skirt for sure! I will post pictures of the fabric and patterns as I get them!

Questions!

So I have gotten questins as to what pattern I used for my cowl neck wiggle dress. So here is a shot of the fabric and the pattern I used!

New year's dress

So as I promised here is the first outfit for me of 2008. I really like how easy and chic these dress looks.


It is dark green with purple and red swirl type on it. I added a twisted strand of black glass beads to keep things simple. I love that this dress is kinda of a late 50's cowl neck wiggle dress. I wore this dress again but with black tights and a pair of wedge suede ankle boots.

A sweet begaining

A Marvelous Trousseau blog is my personal fashion blog. This is a place that I can push my self and my art with fashion. I have become bored with plane jean and tshirts every day and can sew, so as my new years goal is to make a new out fit every week. With every complete outfit I will be removing something old from my closet.

The plan will be to post 3 to 4 times a week. Saturday posts will be a run down about what I am planning for my next outfit and what has inspired me for this outfit. Wednesday (after Project Runway :) will be the run down of the things I have gathered and hopefully started the cutting. Friday is when the outfit will be pictured and maybe worn if it isn't being saved for a special event. During the Friday post I will talk about what about what I made and how I added things to make it an outfit. I will keep up with any pattern changes or sewing problems I have as I go. If there is some interested I will also have in depth info how the sewing of the garments.

I hope this blog will inspire you to look at the world around you and break out of the plane and boring fashion we all get stuck in.
